Ashmead calls for improved industry/government relations

HBF chief executive Rob Ashmead has called on the government and industry to improve communication and mutual understanding. "There is still a failure of government on one side and industry on the other to really understand each others' concerns," said Ashmead. "The government often cuts across the grain of the market. One or both of us are still getting it very wrong." Speaking at the annual Housing Market Intelligence conference, Ashmead said: "There must be a win:win solution to the myriad problems of increasing housing supply."
