Bryant hangs up his hard hat

Persimmon development director David Bryant, pictured here on the right laying bricks with chairman John White, has retired after nearly 25 years at the firm. He joined Persimmon in 1985 as deputy managing director and founder of the Anglia region, before taking up a seat on the main board as regional chairman. In 2001 his role broadened to becoming group development director, taking on all the responsibilities for, among other things, sales and marketing and health and safety. Bryant will continue his involvement with the New Homes Marketing Board where he is a board member. Dominic Harman, Persimmon Group communications director, said: “Many people have a debt of gratitude to David for the freely given knowledge and experience that he has always passed on. He leaves a successful legacy behind and we all wish him all the very best for a long and happy retirement.” <br>
