<p>The Department of Culture, Media and Sport is to withdraw funding from CABE, the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, from next April. </p><p> </p> <p></p> <p>A spokesman said that CABE was "bitterly disappointed by the decision." CABE chairman Paul Finch said: "I know there are literally thousands of new buildings, parks and streets which are better because of CABE's support." </p><p> </p> <p></p> <p>CABE says it is now taking stock of the decision and looking at options to "create new ways to support and champion good design". </p><p> </p> <p></p>
