Countryside shake-up

<p>Countryside has appointed Phillip Lyons as chief executive, Housebuilding, replacing Graham Cherry who becomes chief executive of Partnerships South.</p> <p>In a major shake up at the firm announced on April 27, Countryside also said Richard Cherry is to retire from the business after 35 years stepping down from his role as chief executive, Partnerships. He will be group new business director until he leaves the company at the end of September.</p> <p>In his new role, Lyons will be responsible for all of Countryside’s housebuilding activity. He was most recently Taylor Wimpey’s divisional managing director, London and South East, and has more than 30 years’ industry experience. </p> <p>Group chief executive, Ian Sutcliffe, said: “Richard has played a pivotal role in building Countryside into the business it is today, in particular helping establish Countryside as the leading urban regeneration partner.
