Design message goes on the road

<b></b>A series of housing design seminars have been launched nationwide by the House Builders Federation, the Civic Trust and the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment. <br><b>The six regional events, which are part of the <i>Building for Life</i> initiative, will be held between April and July.</b><br><b>The seminars will investigate some of the planning, design and construction detail which make schemes selected for Building for Life both commercially successful and good examples of UK housebuilding that is popular with the public.</b><br><b>The rolling programme of regional seminars will take place in the same venues as HBF regional meetings and will be held in the north west, the Midlands, the north east, the south west and in Yorkshire. </b><br><b>A further national conference will cover London, the south east and the eastern region. </b><br> CABE has joined up with HBF because it wants to bring new ideas in good design to housebuilders who may not have been exposed to such ideas before.<p></p><p>For more information contact Mark Rice, HBF </p><p> head of public affairs, on </p><p>Mark.Rice@hbf.co.uk or 020 7608 5100. </p><p><br> </p><p></p>
