Hemingway to continue Wimpey collaboration

<p>Wayne Hemingway and Wimpey are collaborating on nine further projects as the designer seeks to extend his influence on British housing.</p> <p>Hemingway told Housebuilder that eight of the nine projects had planning permission. The sites include Campbell Park in Milton Keynes, a 280 home development, the RAF staff college in Bracknell, which will include more than 700 homes and the 1,500-unit development in Dartford, The Bridge. Wimpey would not reveal the other schemes until contracts are in place.</p> <p>Hemingway said: “A significant proportion of people laugh at what a lot of the housebuilders do, and Hemingway Design was part of that group. We want to design developments that attract entrepreneurial people like us, which changes the way you look at places to live; you need a place where you can work and live.”</p> <p>He added that he would be using some of the design principles, such as homezones, used on his first collaboration with Wimpey – The Staiths in Gateshead. “We have the thought that no two developments are the same.</p> <p>But what we will take from Staiths is that you can take an area where there is no market for an aspirational life and by good design bring in …
