Developers are being invited to help regenerate the former Whittingham Hospital site near Preston. The site is one of the 96 former hospital sites being brought forward for development through English Partnerships. Situated just outside Preston on the edge of Goosnargh village, the site is almost 60 hectares (147 acres) – one of the largest in the programme. The successful developer will be responsible for preparing a new masterplan for the site in consultation with the community and stakeholders, and securing planning permission for it.
