Housebuilding Innovation Awards winners announced

Barratt and David Wilson Homes each scooped two awards in the inaugural Housebuilding Innovation Awards, which were announced at a gala dinner at The Savoy in London on September 7. A number of otyher volume housebuilders were also recognised for their innovative approach to their business across ten categories, ranging from best community consultation initiative to best innovation in the use of materials and products. The winners are: * The Environmental Award: Crosby Homes Special Projects, for greenquarter, Manchester * Best Innovation in the use of Materials and Products: Barratt Developments for Advance Housing * Best Customer Care Initiative: Miller Homes for www.millerhomes.co.uk * Best Partnership between Housebuilder and Commercial Developer: Barratt West London and Thornfield Properties fdor Axiom, Feltham, Middlesex * Best Training/Staff Initiative: Persimmon Homes * Best Partnership with a Supplier: Haslam Homes and Wolseley UK * Best Partnership between Housebuilder and Public Sector: Countryside Properties and SEEDA for Chatham Maritime, Kent * Best Example of Community Consultation: George Wimpey East Midlands for Mawsley Village, Northamptonshire * Most Innovative use of Technology: David Wilson Homes * Best Design Initiative/Partnership with an Architect: David Wilson Homes and Design for Homes, the eScape Project Housebuilder magazine editor Ben Roskrow said: …
