Neil Jefferson has been appointed chief operating officer at NHBC, a newly created role under ceo Steve Wood.
Jefferson will have responsibility for all builder relationships, inspection services, technical and consultancy services, major projects and the development of NHBC’s Standards.
Prior to this position, he was NHBC’s business development director and latterly interim managing director.
The creation of the new role comes ahead of the planned departure of long-standing operations director Ian Davis after more than 25 years with NHBC.
Commenting on the appointment, Wood said: “Neil has real depth of experience and strong relationships across the industry. In this new role, he will lead the development of a more integrated approach to our builder and developer customers as they continue to build the high quality new homes the country needs.
“I would like to thank Ian Davis for the enormous contribution he has made to NHBC over the last 25 years. We wish him all the very best for the future.”
