April 6, 2005
key industry stakeholders will gather in London on April 26 to assess the impact of the Planning Act on community consultation, and the value of engaging communities in the planning process. Hosted by Green Issues Communications at One George Street, Westminster, keynote speakers will include Ian Biddulph, group planning director at developer Wilson Bowden, Dr Hugh Ellis, planning advisor for Friends of the Earth and Michael Crofton-Briggs, business manager at Oxford City Council. The conference will be chaired by former Admiral of the Fleet and chairman of Green Issues, Sir Julian Oswald GCB, "The Planning Act clearly puts community consultation at the heart of the planning process, the problem for many in the development industry is what that means in practice," said Ian Thorn, director at Green Issues Communications. "This conference is designed to sweep away the fiction and uncover the facts." For more information please contact Lisa Turner on 0118 983 9462 or email lisat@greenissues.com
