Westbury's future chief exec planning to increase volumes

<table> <tbody><tr><td> </td></tr><tr><td><i> Nigel Fee<br/><br/></i></td></tr></tbody></table>Westbury has announced that Nigel Fee, md of its homes division, will step into the role of chief executive in November. Fee will take over from Martin Donohue, who is to retire after ten years as chief executive and 33 years with the plc. Fee has taken up the role of deputy chief executive before succeeding Donohue and has told Housebuilder that he is ready for a difficult year ahead. <p></p><p>"I have been running the housebuilding business for ten years, and I am quite excited about our growth plans: we will make concerted efforts to increase volumes. "Housebuilders went through a pretty hard time during the back end of last year, and while we are in something of a recovery period, the market is not back to previous levels. It's going to be hard work this year, although the fundamentals of the industry are sound." </p><p>Fee added: "The main problem is we are unable to respond in supply terms, because planning is becoming more of a nightmare.
