Zero’s welcome

Anyone who might still doubt the importance and potential impact of the zero carbon agenda on the housebuilding industry needed only to glance at the names on the attendance list at a private meeting to discuss the issue held last month. Mark Clare, Barratt. Mike Farley, Persimmon. Tim Hough, Miller. David Ritchie, Bovis. They, and others, formed a small gathering of senior industry figures which came together to listen to the Zero Carbon Hub’s update on progress on this key issue and to discuss the path ahead. Chaired by HBF boss Stewart Baseley, the meeting tackled the range of challenges facing the industry in the drive to make every new home zero carbon from 2016 … just six years away now.
