WMS supports housebuilders with Future Homes Standard-ready UFH and new CPD

WMS

With the Future Homes Standard now published, housebuilders need practical support to deliver low-temperature heating systems with confidence. For more than two decades, WMS has specialised solely in hydronic underfloor heating, offering design expertise, CPD-accredited guidance and expert installation, supporting each project from specification through to completion.

WMS precision-configures every system to maximise air-source heat pump efficiency, achieving flow temperatures of 35-45°C on each plot. Real-world data from Bellway's Energy House 2.0 project proved that WMS’ hydronic underfloor heating delivered just 0.8°C temperature variation, compared with 4°C from other technologies, with no product adaptation needed to meet current regulations. WMS UFH systems can also be installed at oversite stage within standard insulated screed build-ups, helping to speed up programme times without raising floor height.

As the March 2027 Part L transition approaches, WMS is sharing this expertise through its fully CPD-certified session, Understanding the Future of Low Carbon Homes - Future Homes Standard and Approved Document L 2026 Edition. The session cuts through the complexity of the new three-metric compliance model, translating it into practical guidance for new-build housing and explores how correctly specified hydronic UFH systems paired with heat pumps offer one of the most effective routes to compliance.

Grounded in real-world project experience from WMS' involvement in over 7,500 homes nationwide during 2025/26, the CPD gives housebuilders and their design teams the knowledge to stay ahead of the changes.
