HBF president Geoff Ball has spoken for both himself and the housebuilding community when he paid tribute to Frank Eaton: &amp;“After 18 months as president I was getting to know and appreciate Frank&amp;’s real qualities. I found his contribution at meetings with ministers and civil servants direct, succinct, and well thought through. I found him easy to talk to, not easy to shift his opinions and I enjoyed his pawky humour. <p></p><p>&amp;“Frank had a superb track record in the industry and will be sorely missed. Perhaps his greatest contribution was to realise from early on the need to broaden the scope of his company&amp;’s operations. Barratt might best be known for championing the cause of the first time buyer but Frank was quick to spot and diversify into innovative regeneration projects.
