Barratt leads the way in Housebuilder Awards

Barratt Developments emerged triumphant at 2011’s Housebuilder Awards, scooping the prestigious Large housebuilder of the year award for its work in the fields of zero carbon, regeneration, design and landscaping. <br> <br> The firm won the Best regeneration project prize for Bluebell, an energy efficient scheme in Nuneaton in Warwickshire. It also won in the new Landscape category for its Vizion scheme in Milton Keynes. <br> <br> David Wilson Homes – part of Barratt – was crowned winner in the Best community initiative category for its consultations on the Pickering Community Park. <br> <br> William Lacey Group was named Small/medium housebuilder of the year for its Code level five scheme, Brookwood Farm, beating its larger counterparts in the zero carbon stakes. <br> <br> Sustainable housebuilder of the year was Crest Nicholson in a tight contest. The judges were wowed by its total dedication to all aspects of sustainability. <br> <br> Other winners included Places for People, Redrow, Linden and PRP.
