Barratt scoops Housebuilder of the Year

<p>Barratt Developments was crowned Housebuilder of the Year at last night's Housebuilder Awards at a glittering ceremony in London's West End.</p> <p>Barratt scooped the prize after winning the best regeneration and best landscaping categories while David Wilson Homes, part of the Barratt Group, won best community initiative.</p> <p>The William Lacey Group won Housebuilder of the Year for small to medium sized developers and also won best low or zero carbon initiative for Brookwood Farm.</p> <p>The Awards - which recognise and reward excellence and innovation throughout the housebuilding disciplines - are presented by Housebuilder magazine in association with NHBC and the Home Builders Federation.</p> <p>Crest Nicholson won Sustainable Housebuilder of the Year, while there were also wins for Places for People (customer satisfaction), Redrow (marketing), Linden (design - three storeys or fewer), PRP (design - four storeys and above) and Cavity Trays (product).</p> <p>The Awards were presented by comedian Alexander Armstrong last night at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel in London. </p> <p> </p>
