The data has been enhanced by information provided directly by companies or information provided to investors or other bodies on websites or in information provided to the City or financial press. Some estimates have been made where data was not available and reasonable estimates could be made – these are marked (e). <br> <br> General notes: Where practical and where adequate data are provided the figures presented are for the UK housebuilding operations only. However the figures for some firms listed may include elements of commercial property operations, construction or overseas activity. In the main the figures for the land refer to plots owned and controlled with planning permission. However firms do assess their land differently, so directly comparable figures are hard to come by.
