<b><b>Denis Mac Daid spent 36 years building major projects around the world for Taylor Woodrow. But last year the firm appointed him chief executive of the newly-purchased Bryant Homes, with a build programme of 6,000 homes a year. He tells Ben Roskrow why he thinks his construction background will help maintain and develop the Bryant brand nationwide</b></b><br><b>Denis Mac Daid has previous experience of housebuilding - and he has the expensive watch to prove it. The Bryant chief executive is well prepared for questions about his construction background and lack of experience in the new homes business. He answers them with a raise of the eyebrows and a broad grin before explaining that, actually, he built a four-bedroomed bungalow back in the 1970s. &amp;“Mind you,&amp;” he adds, in an accent that betrays his Derry heritage, &amp;“it was a &amp;£40 million bungalow for the sultan of Oman which had finishes that you just wouldn&amp;’t believe.
