Churchill Living has promoted its chief financial officer Dean Marlow to deputy chief executive in one of a number of changes to its board.
Marlow will retain his cfo role while working more closely alongside chairman and ceo Spencer McCarthy, using his extensive operational knowledge and experience in his newly expanded role, Churchill Living said.
A chartered accountant, Marlow has worked for the later living housebuilder for 25 years, helping guide the business “through periods of strong growth and more challenging conditions”.
Lindsay Matthews, Churchill’s director of financial control, will now be promoted to deputy cfo after being with Churchill for more than 20 years, working alongside Marlow throughout her tenure.
Meanwhile, Gary Day, serving on the firm’s board as group land, design and planning director for the past five years, has announced his retirement. He will remain with the business until the end of December.
Churchill said these managerial changes came at a pivotal time for the group, with Churchill recently claiming to be the first major UK retirement living provider to permanently remove all exit fees.
