Their products remain in high demand</b><br><b>When Despite massive hype surrounding off-site fabrication the brick and block sector is fighting its corner and recently responded vigorously to claims from competing build methods that traditional masonry represents the &amp;“tortoise&amp;” of the building world. Traditional House Bureau secretary Alan Tovey argues: &amp;“There is a vast misconception that traditional build is a longer process than prefabricated methods - it&amp;’s a myth. </b><br> &amp;“Recent claims by other methods to be able to, for example, &amp;‘build a house in a day&amp;’ shouldn&amp;’t be taken at face value. Such methods may involve factory preparation, and while basic frame sections may well be nailed together fairly quickly, the complete construction process takes much longer because it invariably involves brickwork which is a site trade.
