Former Miller boss Tim Hough dies

Former Miller Homes chief executive Tim Hough has died suddenly. The 54 year old is understood to have suffered a heart attack.<br> <br> Hough was at Miller from 2002 to 2010, having previously been at David Wilson Homes and McAlpine. He was chair of the NHBC's Standards Committee as well as an NHBC board member and played an active role at HBF. Hough also judged Housebuilder Media's Housebuilder Awards this year.<br> <br> Housebuilder Media publishing director Ben Roskrow said: "I first met Tim when I interviewed him in his time at McAlpine Homes in 1999. He was a great supporter of HBM, an advocate of driving forward quality in the industry and a good man. He will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with his family." <br> <br> Isabel Hudson, NHBC's executive chairman, said: "We were extremely saddened to hear the news of Tim's death. For the past six years he made an enormous contribution to NHBC as a non-executive board member, particularly in his role as chairman of the NHBC Standards Committee. Tim was an extremely well liked and highly respected colleague who will be greatly missed." <br>
