Housebuilders should take professional valuation advice to avoid the problem.<p></p><p>Martin Grant Homes is incorporating Thermonex basements into the 35 homes on its riverside site in Cambridge. The basements are made from a combination of lightweight insulated hydrophobic concrete (X-Concrete) and normal weight concrete panels. The precast elements are installed on site to form the foundations for the whole building structure.
