Freehold values are unrealised

Housebuilders are not maximising the financial potential of freeholds according to Chris March of Countrywide Property Management. SMEs, especially family-run businesses, are at most risk of failing to capitalise on the value of freeholds. &amp;“Time and again we come across businesses which have given away their freeholds to leaseholders because they are unaware of their true value,&amp;” he said. Housebuilders should take professional valuation advice to avoid the problem.<p></p><p>Martin Grant Homes is incorporating Thermonex basements into the 35 homes on its riverside site in Cambridge. The basements are made from a combination of lightweight insulated hydrophobic concrete (X-Concrete) and normal weight concrete panels. The precast elements are installed on site to form the foundations for the whole building structure.
