Government sets tough zero carbon target for housebuilders

<p>Housing minister John Healey has announced that housebuilders will need to find 70% of the reduction in carbon through on site means - that is, through improvements in the structure and fabric of the home and on site technology such as solar panels.</p> <br><p>This is being viewed as a tough target for the industry in the drive to hit zero carbon by 2016.</p>
