Green Leaf winners revealed

<b></b>Environ Homes&amp;’ Stonegate Place development at Wye in Kent has been judged to be the best Green Leaf scheme in this year&amp;’s awards. It is the first time the awards have had an overall winner. <br>The company was presented with its awards at a ceremony at the Daily Mail offices which sponsor the event in conjunction with Hanson.<p></p><p>A record number of entries produced a record number of winners with more than 80 schemes achieving Green Leaf quality. Four other schemes picked up special awards. William Davis won the National Urban Forestry Unit Award for The Ridings in Droitwich, Worcestershire, while Countryside&amp;’s Great Notley scheme in Essex won the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust Award. Chase Homes won the Tree Council Award for Grange Park in Worcestershire and Beechcroft Developments won the Civic Trust Award for The Orchard at Fairford in Gloucestershire. </p><p>* The New Homes Marketing Board has launched the Green Leaf Standard to make the awards more desirable as a marketing tool. This allows housebuilders to register their developments at a pre-construction stage. If a development&amp;’s planned landscaping and overall design potentially fulfils the Green Leaf Standard, housebuilders can apply to promote the Green Leaf Standard on that development. </p><p><b>Click …
