<b><b>Prowting puzzler</b></b><br> Wherever Steve Rosier goes in the housebuilding industry, sparks usually fly as he shakes up the show and hits the headlines. So his sudden departure from the helm at Prowting can hardly be down to lack of enthusiasm or anything else which suggests significant dereliction of duty.<p></p><p>Nor could it be down to poor customer service, which could easily unseat plenty of other chief executives in the industry. Steve Rosier established an industry first by giving customers his home telephone number, and the overall quality of Prowting work was confirmed by a top honour in the latest NHBC quality awards. The firm has not been disgraced in the latest customer satisfaction survey either.</p><p>The hope must be that Rosier is not out of the spotlight for long. He had recently undertaken a fairly rigorous restructuring of senior commanders in the company, so Prowting must get back on the road soon with a virtually untried team under chairman Richard Fraser.
