<b><b>Life survivor</b></b><br> The good news from the annual report just published by Wilson Connolly - hairshirts all round and a stern profile from new chief exec Graeme McCallum which might alarm children - is that The Lifebuilding Company, perhaps the most promising part of Old Wilcon, is set to survive and thrive.<p></p><p>Shareholders know this because the invitation to the AGM in Northampton seeks their approval to allow The Lifebuilding Company to waste &amp;£10,000 - sorry, to make a political donation up to said limit of &amp;£10,000.</p><p>The bad news for these same shareholders, as they chomp their meat and two veg at Northampton&amp;’s elegant Hilton Hotel, is that three more Wilcon subsidiaries and the main board too for that matter, all want to put money into the politicians&amp;’ pockets. In total, they seek clearance to give no less than &amp;£90,000 to the wretches in Westminster.</p><p><b><b>Toga confusion</b></b><br> Mention of Wilcon reminds me of chairman Allan Leighton&amp;’s trip to Cyprus, when he jetted off with 200 other guests in a private plane to celebrate the 50th birthday of BHS boss Philip Green.</p><p> While some remain sceptical of the surge in value at BHS, there was no denying the party highlight: made to measure …
