Helen Moore launches housing consultancy

Helen Moore, former group director of Orbit Homes and managing director of City & Country for more than nine years, has launched a consultancy business to aid housing firms.

The consultancy, Moore about Homes, will see Moore advise boards, support leadership teams and help housing businesses adapt and grow in challenging conditions.

Using her more than three decades of experience in successful leadership roles in housebuilding, Moore will offer strategic advice, governance expertise and practical support in areas including business strategy, stakeholder engagement, leadership development and compliance.

Moore was group director of Orbit Homes from 2021 to 2024, joining the organisation as managing director two years previously. As group director, she led a £100 million turnover development business delivering 1,000 mixed tenure homes a year, with a focus on building a collaborative culture, improving margins, mitigating risk, setting new design quality standards and “sector-leading” customer satisfaction.

As md of SME City & Country from 2010 to 2019, Moore repositioned and grew a family-owned business, enhancing its reputation for restoring historic and listed buildings.
