Industry initiative to ease Part L path

The New Homes Marketing Board has brought together suppliers and housebuilders through builders merchant Travis Perkins to discuss Part L of the Building Regulations. <br> <br> A number of suppliers and manufacturers met with housebuilders to probe the supply side approach of Part L and its challenges, as well as to highlight existing or upcoming products made to assist the zero carbon journey. <br> <br> HBF’s director of external affairs John Slaughter, said that the aim of the event was to create a more efficiently targeted supply chain. “Through presentations, suppliers and manufacturers were able to receive feedback directly from housebuilders, and in an environment where a merchant was also in the room.” <br> <br> He added that the benefit to Travis Perkins was a feeling of increased confidence about its ability to supply more of the products that industry needs. <br> <br> Meanwhile, housebuilders picked up information that they may not have had previously, and had the chance to raise questions on how different products can be used.” <br> <br> Housebuilders Strata, Jones Homes, McCarthy &amp; Stone and Croudace attended the event.<br> <br>
