Despite industry calls for the introduction of home information packs (HIPs) on June 1 to be postponed, the government has today issued regulatory \"clarification\" on the packs, rejecting the delay plea and committing to press ahead with the proposals as planned. The provision of HIPs to all home purchasers will now be mandatory in less than 50 days.
