The largest development of zero carbon homes in the UK is set to be built soon, the HCA has announced. <br> <br> Peterborough City Council’s planning and environmental protection committee approved plans for 295 homes to be built to Code for Sustainable Homes level six. The homes are being delivered as part of the government’s Carbon Challenge programme, organised by the HCA. <br> <br> Morris Homes, working with sustainable architecture specialist Browne Smith Baker and landscape architect Barnes Walker, will deliver a mix of houses and apartments in a seven storey block on a 17-acre former factory site, close to Peterborough United’s London Road football ground in Fletton. <br> <br> The development will include public open space and a sustainable urban drainage system. It will adopt particular design and construction technologies to reach the zero carbon level. <br> <br>
