Kirsten Bunch looks at what makes winning site managers stand out from the crowd</b></b><br><b>NHBC&’s Pride In the Job award ceremony at the Grosvenor House hotel in London saw 21 regional winners go head to head in the final round of the competition. Every winner getting through to this stage had impressed the judges with their skills as site managers over a 12 month period. For only the second time in the history of the awards, two finalists from the same category were both given the title of Supreme winner. It is a measure of the high standards that it proved impossible to separate James Gaffney and Roger Middleton. </b><br><b><b>Supreme winners</b></b><br> Celebrity guest Juliet Morris and NHBC chairman Sir Michael Pickard were on hand to announce the names of the UK&’s best site managers.</p><p>James Gaffney of St George South London and Roger Middleton of Prowting Homes South West both won Supreme awards in the large category.
