Record performance for Taylor Wimpey

<p>Taylor Wimpey completed 7.5% more homes in 2015 than the year before according to the firm's full year results released on March 1.</p> <p>The firm completed 13,219 homes across the UK seeing revenue increase 16.9% to 3.14 billion and pre-tax profit up 34.1% to £603.8 million. Margin is up 2.4 points to 20.3%.</p> <p>The firm says that the market remained robust in late 2015 and has strengthened in the start of 2016 with the net private sales rate so far this year at 0.77 up from 0.68 last year. The firm says it is investing heavily in land and people development.</p> <p>Chief executive Pete Redfern said: "Taylor Wimpey delivered a record performance in 2015, building over 13,000 homes across the UK and contributing over £335 million to local communities.</p> <p>"2016 has continued to be positive across all of our regional markets, with demand strong and good access to mortgages.
