September is New Homes Month

September has been designated New Homes Month by the New Homes Marketing Board, following the success of New Homes Week in 2009. <br> <br> The initiative aims to highlight the benefits of new build homes across the UK and will showcase the range, value and quality of homes available. <br> <br> David Pretty, NHMB’s chairman, said that despite the tough housing market over the past two years, now was an ideal time to buy new: “The market is moving and prices are at an historic low, which represents a great opportunity. <br> <br> “As well as the fact that new homes are packed with lots more extra features than most older properties, the economic downturn has brought new home prices in line with the second-hand market, so there is no ‘brand new’ premium any more,” he continued. “Buying new is better value now than it has been for years, and more people are realising that.” <br> <br> New Homes Month runs from September 4 to October 3 and is supported by HBF, NHBC and Homes for Scotland. Housebuilders are being encouraged to hold their own promotional activities for the initiative<br> <br>
