Now it&amp;’s all top designers, minimalist looks, and, of course, a tv and telephone in the shower or bath. Andrew Leech soaks up the latest trends</b></b><br><b>Despite endless days of rain over the winter and more tales of general inundations, we still cannot get enough water. It is our planet&amp;’s most precious commodity so conservation remains high on the new bathroom design agenda. </b><br> Indeed, it has been barely 18 months since the economical six litre wc cistern became the norm in new housing. Now another government initiative is well advanced to reduce this even further, this time to five litres. It is awaiting EU ratification, then it becomes part of the new homes spec, possibly in 2004. </p><p> Also, and not before time, there could soon be a Water Saving Trust set up to promote and monitor water conservation in very much the same way that the Energy Saving Trust has focussed public and professional attention on extracting maximum efficiency from our various domestic energy sources.</p><p><b><b>minimalism</b></b><br> Conservation aside, bathrooms are …
