After graduating with a Masters Degree in Planning from the University of Sheffield, Tamsin started her career in consultancy in the Birmingham planning teams at both RPS and Turley, gaining a varied experience and developing an interest in residential development. She became a Chartered member of the RTPI in December 2019 and joined Hayfield Homes and sister business, Terra Strategic, as a Planner in November 2020 to focus on residential development. Tamsin was promoted to Planning Manager in November 2022 and, more recently, promoted to the role of Senior Planning Manager.
As well as working on immediate delivery sites for Hayfield, Tamsin primarily works on a number of projects for Terra Strategic, focusing on the promotion of strategic planning sites. Additionally, she has secured permission on a number of sites for delivery as Affordable Housing by Living Space Housing who specialise in partnership delivery with Registered Providers.
Tamsin also sits on the RTPI West Midlands Young Planners Committee, and was involved in organising the very successful RTPI YP Conference in Birmingham in 2023, as well as a number of other events and CPD sessions.
Outside of work, she enjoys keeping active and has recently started trying her hand at golf!
